Title:
ENCAPSULATED RESIN PARTICLE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2007231214
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide encapsulated resin particles bringing objects to be highly functional and able to enhance required characteristics such as fixation of colorants, scratch resistance of recorded images, glossiness and the like without spoiling dispersion stability of ink, especially when the ink is used as one component of pigment ink for inkjet recording, and provide a water-based resin emulsion and the pigment ink for inkjet recording.

In the encapsulated resin, resin particles having anionic groups on the surfaces are coated with a wall material comprising a polymer as a main component. The polymer comprises a repeating structural unit derived from at least "a cationically polymerizable surfactant having a cationic group, a hydrophobic group and a polymerizable group" and/or "a hydrophilic monomer having a cationic group" and a repeating unit derived from "an ionically polymerizable surfactant having an ionic group, a hydrophobic group and a polymerizable group".
