To provide an enclosing and sealing system which is properly controlled in accordance with a folding state of a printing sheet enclosed and sealed.
The enclosing and sealing system includes: a printing part 9 for performing printing on the printing sheet and envelope paper for sealing based on a job; an envelope formation part 85 for making an envelope by enclosing and sealing the printing sheet printed by a printing means with the envelope paper; a guide roller for conveying the envelope made by the envelope formation part 85 on an envelope conveyance path; a pressing sensor 114 provided perpendicular to a conveyance direction of the guide roller and detecting the thickness of the envelope conveyed on the envelope conveyance path 49; a determination part 121 for determining the folding state of the printing sheet based on a detection value detected by the pressing sensor 114; and a device control part 123 for performing control according to a determination result of the determination part 121.
