Title:
ENCODED MULTIVALUED MODULATION SYSTEM FOR DIGITAL MOBILE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3466797
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain the reliable and fast radio transmission of a large capacity of information even in an environment where multipath fading, shadowing, etc., exist.
SOLUTION: The state of a transmission line is estimated by a state of transmission line estimating device 10 and based on this estimating result FS of the state of the transmission line, a speed converter 31 adaptively vary-sets the number of signal groups (i) to be served for mapping by means of an adaptive multivalued modulation mapping circuit 4 as it is without serving to convolution encoding by means of a convolution encoder 32, and an adaptive multivalued modulation mapping circuit 4 adaptively selects and set a modulating system corresponding to the result of estimating the state of the transmission line. Then the groups of digital signals whose number of groups is adaptively vary-set are mapped corresponding to the adaptively select-set modulation system and transmitted.
