Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an encoding device and a decoding device for selecting a division shape of a flexible block while suppressing an increase in the amount of flag information indicating the division shape.SOLUTION: An encoding device 1 includes a color difference signal division shape determination unit 13 configured to determine the division shape of a color difference signal in accordance with the division shape of an encoded luminance signal. The color difference signal division shape determination unit 13 determines the division shape of the block of the color difference signal to be encoded by using only a boundary line used for dividing the block of the encoded luminance signal at the position corresponding to the block of the color difference signal to be encoded.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
