Abstract:

To enable a service provider to confirm whether contents have been distributed to terminals without loss of packets during streaming distribution.

At the time of the streaming distribution, before the server transmits data to the terminals, the contents are divided into data blocks and the data blocks are encrypted by different encryption keys. The encrypted data blocks are transmitted to the terminals. An encryption key distribution server previously prepares a table of correspondence between checksums of the data blocks and the encryption keys to be distributed. Each of the terminals calculates the checksum of the received data block and obtains the corresponding encryption key by transmitting the checksum to the key distribution server.
