Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an end cover assembly which reduces the number of members in a rechargeable cell, simplifies the assembly work of the rechargeable cell and reduces contact resistance between a metallic reinforcement cover and a hat-like PTC element, and also to provide the rechargeable cell including the same.SOLUTION: Disclosed is an end cover assembly provided on an anode end of a rechargeable cell. This assembly includes a Positive Temperature Coefficient (PTC) element 100 having a central projected part 110 and a peripheral edge flat part 120 around the central projected part 110 and also includes a metallic reinforcement cover 200 soldered onto the central projected part 110 of the PTC element 100. In a rechargeable 10, a gas exhaust valve 300 is provided on the end of a housing 400, and the end cover assembly having the PTC element 100 is provided on the gas exhaust valve 300.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
