PURPOSE: To form a good tie by introducing an end of spun-side yarn and an end of a package-side yarn into a pneumatic ending apparatus, clamping both ends at the same time and performing ending operation.

CONSTITUTION: When end-breakage is detected during spinning, the yarn end YN of the spun-side and the yarn end YP of the package side are introduced into a pneumatic ending apparatus 1, the spun-side yarn end YN and the package-side yarn end YP are clamped at the same time and ending operation is carried out according to prescribed procedures. A good tie having uniform untwisted state of the yarn end of the spun-side and that of the package-side can be formed by this process without causing the thinning or weakening of the tie.
