PURPOSE: To ensure the ending operation by introducing an end of a spun-side yarn and an end of a package-side yarn into a pneumatic ending apparatus, clamping the spun-side yarn end and then the package-side yarn end and performing ending operation.

CONSTITUTION: When end-breakage is detected during spinning, the yarn end YN of the spun-side and the yarn end YP of the package side are introduced into a pneumatic ending apparatus 1, the spun-side yarn end YN is clamped and then the package-side yarn end YP is clamped and the ending operation is carried out according to prescribed procedures. The ending operation can be surely performed by this process without causing the escape of the package- side yarn from the slit or the ending hole formed on an ending member of the pneumatic ending apparatus.
