PURPOSE: To cause standing up of a medical treating tool inductor by means of a light operation force and to prevent the increase of the sizes and weight of a tip part and an operation part by a method wherein a standing-up mechanism to cause standing up of a medical treating tool inductor is mounted in an endoscope, and a drive source to drive the standing-up mechanism is disposed outside the endoscope.

CONSTITUTION: A medical treating tool inductor 16 to cause standing up of a medical treating tool 15 is mounted to an insertion part 2 of an endoscope 1. A standing-up mechanism 19 to cause standing up of the medical treating tool inductor 16 is mounted in the endoscope 1, and a drive source 27 to drive the standing-up mechanism 19 is disposed outside the endoscope 1. This constitution causes standing up of the medical treating tool inductor through simple constitution by means of a light operation force, and prevents the increase of the sizes and weight of a tip part and an operation part.
