Abstract:
To provide an energy-absorbing structural member capable of compatibly materializing short deformation stroke and large energy absorbing efficiency.
The energy-absorbing structural member for absorbing energy by bending deformation is a solid material and a plate material. Two or more members isotropic or anisotropic with respect to material physical properties and different from each other are arranged alternately in the longitudinal direction of the solid material and the plate material in a layer occupying all surfaces of the solid material and the plate material in the thickness direction or a layer occupying a part of the surfaces of the solid material and the plate material in the thickness direction.
