Abstract:
To provide a catalyst having higher performance for using a liquid- phase methyl formate for a reaction for manufacturing a methanol by hydrogenating the methyl formate in a system for converting a thermal energy using a dehydrogenation of the methanol and the hydrogenation of the methyl formate into a chemical energy.
A catalyst in which a Raney-copper-chromium alloy containing a chromium of 0.1 to 5 wt.% is developed is used to hydrogenate the methyl formate.
