In this method, an energy saving means is introduced to existing fluid machinery for reducing power consumption of the fluid machinery and promoting energy saving of the fluid machinery. A user presents data specifying characteristics of the fluid machinery to a service provider. The service provider approximates the energy saving effect obtained when an energy saving means is introduced to the fluid machinery on the basis of the data specifying the characteristics of the fluid machinery and an energy saving ratio S, chooses an effective energy saving means, and presents the energy saving effect and the chosen energy saving means to the user.
