Abstract:
To reduce torque exceeding a compression top dead center when starting an engine.
A motor G serving also as a power generator is switched to motor operation in accordance with stop instruction from a switch 33, and target number of revolutions is switched to a minute speed value to apply regenerative braking. A current peak is detected based on current waveform during regenerative braking. If it is supposed that the detected current peak is due to the influence of load by the compression top dead center, FETs 281 to 286 are switched by a current peak detected next to short-circuit a power generator winding. Consequently, electric brake is applied to the engine E to stop quickly.
