Abstract:
To reduce intake noise in a junction of air on each air cleaner outlet side, when a plurality of air cleaners for cleaning air to be supplied to an engine are independently disposed.
In the engine intake system for supplying air for combustion to the engine, an air expansion chamber 15 is disposed on an air outlet side of first and second air cleaners 11, 12. The air flowed out of the air cleaners 11, 12 is joined in the air expansion chamber 15, and at the same time, the air is expanded or a flow velocity of the air is lowered, so that a resonator (muffling) function is exerted.
