To provide an engine-learning control device for controlling the opening of a variable nozzle of a turbocharger in a consistently precise manner.
With an engine 1 stopped and an assist motor for the turbocharger 5 operated in the state that an EGR valve 7B is fully opened, intake air compressed into predetermined pressure by a compressor 5A is distributed from an exhaust manifold 6 to a turbine 5B via the EGR valve 7B and an EGR passage 7A, in spite of the blade performance dispersion of the turbine 5B and the compressor 5A. The opening of the variable nozzle is estimated from the flow amount of intake air detected by an air flow meter 2, and a correction value for a variable nozzle opening command value depending on a deviation between the estimated opening of the variable nozzle and the learning opening of the variable nozzle corresponding to a learning variable nozzle opening command value output from an ECU 10.
