Abstract:
To reduce the cost and improve the durability of a speed reduction section that constitutes an engine starter.
The speed reduction section D of the engine starter 1 in which a motor shaft (output shaft) 2 and a drive shaft 7 are disposed concentrically with each other, comprises: a plurality of planetary gears 8 meshing with gear teeth (sun gear) 2b formed on the outer circumference of the motor shaft 2 of a motor section M; and an internal ring gear 9 which is arranged concentrically with the drive shaft 7 and with which the plurality of planetary gears 8 mesh. The internal ring gear 9 is composed of a plurality of plate members 21 stacked in the axial direction.
