PURPOSE: To improve the safety of work by forming a control unit with a central control unit and a spare control unit and enabling the starting and the acceleration of an engine via said spare control unit when anything unusual has occurred in said central control unit.

CONSTITUTION: In a self-traveling high-place working vehicle 1, various operating members for controlling the operations of the lateral swing movement of a working stand 5, the extension and contraction, elevating and lowering, and swinging of boom 4, and traveling, and provided on a swinging base 3 and on each of the operating parts 6, 7 of the working stand 5 on the end of the expandable boom 4 which is elevatably ad rotatably supported by the swinging base 3. A control unit 11 operates and processes information on operations from the various operating members, and controls a starter motor 15 for starting an engine and an engine accelerating device (a pulse motor) 14. This control unit 11 consists of a central control unit and a spare control unit, which can control the operations of the starter motor and the pulse motor whenever anything unusual is detected in the central control unit.
