Abstract:

To exhibit initial supercharge ability even in a drive area where an exhaust flow rate is relatively low.

An engine system with a supercharger is provided with an exhaust manifold 16 having independent exhaust passages 16a-16d; a gathering part 31c where downstream sides of the respective independent exhaust passages 16a-16d are gathered to one part; and an exhaust turbo-supercharger 50 connected to a downstream side of the gathering part 31c. The engine system is preferably provided with a variable exhaust valve 30 for exhibiting ejector effect in a predetermined supercharge operation area. The exhaust turbo-supercharger 50 includes a turbine casing 51a to which an exhaust gas We delivered from the variable exhaust valve 30 flows-in; a turbine scroll 54 arranged in the turbine casing 51a and driven by the exhaust gas We flowing into the turbine casing 51a; and a flow-regulation plate 56 for leading a main stream of the exhaust gas We delivered from outlets 17a-17d of the independent exhaust passages 16a-16d along a tangent laid in a rotation direction of the turbine scroll 54.
