Abstract:
To suppress variations in an intake air amount.SOLUTION: An engine includes a first intake passage disposed in an intake system, which is opened and closed by a first opening/closing valve, and a second intake passage having an intake canister disposed in the intake system bypassing the first intake passage for adsorbing fuel vapor, which is opened and closed by a second opening/closing valve positioned more on an intake port side than the intake canister. The engine includes an exhaust passage disposed in an exhaust system, which includes a catalytic converter. The engine includes a purge passage connected to the second intake passage and the exhaust passage, which is opened and closed by a third opening/closing valve. A control system can supply fuel vapor to the intake canister from the intake port by closing the first opening/closing valve and opening the second opening/closing valve while the engine is stopped. The control system can supply intake air to the intake port from the first intake passage by opening the first opening/closing valve and closing the second opening/closing valve while the engine is operated.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
