Title:
ENHANCEMENT OF CELL TOXICITY OF ANTHRACYCLINE BY MEANS OF PHOTOACTIVATION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH03128324
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a method for enhancing cytotoxicity of anthoracycline by irradiating a light having a wave length within a specific range in the presence of the anthoracycline in a cell. CONSTITUTION: An anthoracycline is irradiated by a light having a selected wave length within 500-700nm in the visual absorbing zone of the anthoracycline to be used, and further having 5-500mW/cm<2> strength and 10-500J/cm<2> light radiation dose. The irradiation is performed by a laser rays or a light radiated by a lamp and suitably filtered. A daunorubicin derivative and a doxorubicin derivative having a substituting group accompanying the shift of visual absorption peak to a wave length containing 500-700nm is represented as the anthoracycline suitable to be treated.
