To increase the degree of freedom of the deformation of an entrance guide plate by forming a part except the vicinities of attaching parts, as chipped parts, in the base part of the entrance guide plate.

The base part 2 is of the downward bent surface of the end part on the upstream side in the carrying direction of a transfer paper shown by the arrow A, of the transfer paper guiding surface 5 of the entrance guide plate 1 and is provided with the attaching parts for installing the entrance guide plate 1 in the frame 10 of a transfer device, at three places of both end parts and the central part. The part except the vicinities of the attaching parts is chipped off to obtain the chipped parts 2a. Fixing screw holes 3 long sideways and a projection 4 formed inward to be integral with the entrance guide plate 1 are provided in the attaching parts in both end parts and the central part, respectively. The entrance guide plate 1 is installed in such a manner that the projection 4 is fitted into the positioning hole 10a of the frame 10 and fixing screws 9 are inserted through the holes 3 from the upstream side in the carrying direction of the transfer paper and fixed on the frame 10. The entrance guide plate 1 is partially abutted on the frame 10 only by three attaching parts.
