Abstract:
To prevent excavated mud and underground water from flowing out of an opening when a propulsion machine excavates and discharges soil.
A rubber packing 5 is fixed by a receiving plate 3, a presser plate 6, and a linking jig 7 and fastened in the radial direction by a fastening band 9. A rubber plate 4 is arranged in the inner circumferential surface of the rubber packing 5. The rubber plate 4 is glued to part of the inner circumferential surface of the rubber packing 5 on the side of a shaft and separated from a part of the rubber packing 5 on the side of the ground. A water pressure is exerted onto the surface of the rubber plate 4 to make the rubber plate 4 tightly adhere to a propulsion tube 12 to prevent water leak.
