Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain an epoxy resin compsn. which has an improved storage stability and is useful as a matrix resin in producing a fiber-reinforced composite.
CONSTITUTION: This compsn. comprises 100 pts.wt. epoxy resin selected from among polyglycidyl ethers of polycyclic bridged hydroxy-substd. polyarom. compds. and N,N,N',N'-tetraglycidylbis(4-amino-3-ethylphenyl)methane and at least 3 pts.wt. solid arom. diamine hardener insoluble in the compsn. at room temp. in an amt. effective to cure the epoxy resin.
