To improve room temperature curability and soil releasing property by compounding a modified epoxy resin, obtained by reacting an epoxy resin with a specific fluorine-containing resin and a carboxyl group-containing α,β- ethylenically unsaturated monomer, and an amine-based curing agent for an epoxy resin.
With 100 pts.wt. of a modified epoxy resin (A) obtained by reacting (a) an epoxy resin containing at least two glycidyl groups with (b) a perfluoroalkyl group-containing (meth)acrylate of the formula (wherein X is H, Cl, F or methyl; Y is 1-3C alkylene or -(CH2)x-N(R)SO2-; R is 1-4C alkyl; and Rf is perfluoroalkyl) and (c) a carbxylic group-containing α,β-ethylenically unsaturated monomer so that the glycidyl groups of the component (a) reacts with part or all of the carboxylic groups of the component (b), or of a mixture thereof with an epoxy resin (B) containing at least two glycidyl groups is compoundes an amine-based curing agent for an epoxy resin (C) in an amount such that 0.3-1.5 moles, per mole of epoxy groups, of active hydrogens in the curing agent are contained.
