To provide equipment arrangement for a hot finish rolling mill in which an actual result crown schedule on each stand exit side is grasped, an actual result crown value is made close to a set value in each stand, effects of an unknown crown value from the stand on the upstream side are eliminated, and the steepness on the exit side of the final stand can be made to reach a target value with high accuracy without causing the occurrence of shape defects on a strip, and a hot rolling method.
A shape-meter and a crown-meter are installed on the exit side of the final stand, and further, a looper type shape-meter is installed between the stands at least two or more of which are continuous from the final stand in the arrangement of the equipment for the hot finish rolling mill in which a plurality of the rolling stands are continuously provided. The rolling is executed with the unit tension of ≥980 Pa between the stands, to which the shape-meter is installed, in the rolling method with the arrangement of the equipment in the hot rolling method.
