To provide highly efficient hot-rolling equipment for band steel which is improved so that inconvenience which generates a flying phenomenon when a strip is transported on a run-out table at high speed is dissolved and the strip passing capacity of a finishing mill is not hindered.
On a strip cooling line which is extended between the finishing mill and a coiler in the hot-rolling equipment for band steel, a pinch roll 4 which is supported with a swing arm so as to be touchable to and separable from each surface of the strip on the strip cooling line and traveling truck with which the tip of the strip which is delivered from the finishing mill is clamped and which is movable in synchronism with the rolling speed on the strip cooling line from the side of the finishing mill to the side of the coiler are provided. Especially, to auxiliarily support external force in the strip passing direction which acts on the pinch roll 4, an auxiliary support device 7 consisting of a link mechanism is preferably provided.
