The dispenser has a shaft (11) for the material with a rear wall (12) over which the material slides, a rotary flap (15) for closing the shaft, which is mounted on the lower end of the shaft and pivots about an axis on the rear wall of the shaft, and a motor drive for the flap. A motor drive moves the flap between a maximum opening position and a closed position. The flap can be held in all intermediate positions for course and fine flow. The rear wall of the shaft lying opposite the rear wall cannot be adjusted.
