Abstract:
To provide a device and method for constricting and/or severing a sausage strand.SOLUTION: The invention relates to a device 10 for constricting and/or separating a sausage strand with two separating devices 1a, 1b which are disposed opposite one another. Each device comprises: a disk 2a, 2b mounted to be rotatable about a first axis A, C; and a disk 3a, 3b arranged thereabove mounted to be rotatable about a second axis B, D with an axis spacing from the first axis A, C. A first end of respective connecting elements 4a, 4b is mounted to be rotatable in the first disk 2a, 2b at a respective distance r from the first axis A, C and a second end in the second disk 3a, 3b is mounted to be rotatable at the same distance r from the second axis B, D. The connecting elements 4a, 4b are guided such that at least one displacement element 5a, 5b, during its rotation about the first axis A, C, is always aligned at a predetermined angle, in particular 90°, relative to the direction of transport.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
