Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain such an image forming material that can form a clear image and can satisfactorily erase the obtained image even when the used amount of an erasing agent is small by incorporating in the material a coloring compound, a color developer, a matrix material and the erasing agent adsorbing the color developer physically or chemically and specifying the molecular weight of the color developer.
SOLUTION: A paper medium to be used comprises paper and an image forming material which is adhered to the paper and contains the coloring compound, the color developer having 120-210 molecular weight, the matrix material and the erasing agent. The image erasing method comprises a step to heat the paper on which the colored image forming material containing the coloring compound, the color developer having 120-210 molecular weight, the matrix material and the erasing agent is adhered at a temp. of 100-140°C to erase the color of the image forming material and a step to cool the heated paper to room temperature. The respective images formed on a large quantity of paper can be erased at a time by heating a bundle of a large number of sheets of the paper when this image forming material is used.
