PURPOSE: To improve both in dryability of a rewriten writing and in color sinking phenomenon by incorporating porous particles into an eraser consisting mainly of an organic solvent, a resin soluble in the solvent, and a pigment composed mainly of titanium oxide.

CONSTITUTION: An eraser consisting mainly of an organic solvent, a resin soluble in the solvent, and a pigment composed wholly or at least mainly of titanium oxide, which has porous particles incorporated therein. Examples of the porous particles include a spongy nylon powder, a particulate cellulose, a spherical porous silica, and spherical compound particles of titanium oxide and a polymethyl methacrylate. The amount of the incorporated porous particles is preferably 0.1-30wt.%, still preferably 1.0-10wt.%, based on total eraser.
