PURPOSE: To safely erect a stop-log type spare pillar by dividing it into upper and lower two parts, and by fixing the lower pillar to a guide plate while making the guide plate having been fixed to a control bridge as a guide, and further by connectedly fixing the upper pillar to the lower pillar.

CONSTITUTION: Two guide plates 1 are obliquely downward suspended in parallel from a control bridge 2 (not shown), and the upper part of each guide plate 1 is fixed to the control bridge 2. Then, a lower pillar 7 is suspended while making the guide plate 1 as a guide, and the lockedly engaging projection 8 at the upper end of the lower pillar 7 is lockedly engaged with the lower end of the guide plate. Further, while guiding an upper pillar 11 with the guide plate 1, the bottom of the upper pillar is fitted into the upper part of the lower pillar 7, and the upper part 14 of the upper pillar is fixed to the control bridge 2, so that the stop-log type spare gate pillar can be erected. Thus, storage and assembling work of a spare gate can be safely carried out.
