Title:
ERGONOMIC DUAL MODE SNIPS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2022013683
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
To provide snips that do not have the lack of flexibility and range of movement of a user's hand to different positions relative to the pivot points of the tool.SOLUTION: Ergonomic snips comprise: a pair of pivoted levers; first pivoting means; a pair of complementary elongated blade levers; second pivoting means; third pivoting means; a first handgrip; and a second handgrip. The levers are configured so that the distances between a user's thumb and the user's index and middle fingers remain substantially the same in both the first and second positions of the hand, whereby the snips ergonomically allows use of the snips with substantially equal comfort in both first and second hand positions while allowing the user to either apply greater cutting force or less cutting force but superior control to cut with superior precision.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
