Abstract:
To provide an erosion resistant member for nonferrous molten metal which has excellent wear resistance and erosion resistance at a relatively low production cost.
The erosion resistant member for nonferrous molten metal is obtained by providing at least a part to be contacted with molten metal in a base material consisting of an iron-based or steel-based material with a covering layer consisting of a high speed steel-based alloy. The total area ratio of carbides such as MC-based, M2C-based, M6C-based, M7C3-based, M4C3-based and M23C6-based carbides contained in the covering layer is ≤25%.
