PURPOSE: To prevent occurrence of a defect such as interruption/destruction of a recording content due to ejection in mistake of a loaded recording medium during recording operation by allowing an operation mechanism to inhibit activation of a recording medium ejection member in the ejection direction during the recording operation.

CONSTITUTION: When a solenoid 18 is energized and a plunger 19 is in the retracted state, an intermediate lever 20 is turned clockwise against a spring 21 and moves to a predetermined position. Thus, a claw 28 is located in a moving locus of an engaged section 26 and even when an operation knob 15 is skided in the direction of the arrow C, an operation lever 17 is locked by the claw 28 and a card eject member 5 cannot be moved in the eject direction B. The solenoid 18 is energized while write by a recording medium such as a recording head is not made, and even when an operation knob 15 is touched in mistake during the write and skided in the eject direction, the possibility of extract of the card 1 is precluded.
