Abstract:
To obtain a desired coding rate in the error correction coder that is provided with a plurality of convolution circuits connected in parallel with each other.
Convolution sections 43, 44 placed in parallel respectively execute convolution processing for source data (u). An interleaver 42 randomizes the source data (u) given to the convolution section 44. Then puncturing sections 45, 46 select a data element from parity data series Y1K, Y2K according to a predetermined puncturing pattern respectively. A multiplexer section 47 imparts data elements selected by the puncturing sections 45, 46 to the data series XK.
