Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an error correction method for digital communication, that can encode or decode a signal in a short information unit at a high coding rate without incurring coding gain deterioration.
SOLUTION: In the digital communication, part of a first digital signal is copied in a way of being connected to the first digital signal to generate a second digital signal, the second digital signal is subjected to convolution coding to generate a first digital code, and in the case of decoding, the copied part at generation of the second digital signal is separated and restored to the original position as a procedure. Further, a code where the first digital code is repetitively connected is used for a second digital code, and when the repetitive unit of decoding the second code is used for a third digital signal, the procedure for transmitting a code equivalent to the first digital signal and a procedure for decoding a signal equivalent to the third digital signal are included in the error correction method.
