Abstract:
To reduce the thickness of an escalator apparatus.
A footstep 4 of the escalator apparatus 1 is formed by alternately stacking a step plate 5 and a spacer plate 6. The step plates 5 are alternately formed by retreating the upper end part 4a of the footstep 4 and by retreating the lower end part 4b thereof and arranged. In a horizontal running area of the upper floor 2, the footstep 4 of an upper circulating area S1 runs to the right, and the footstep 4 of a lower circulating area S2 runs to the left, and the lower end part 4a of the upper footstep 4 and the upper end part 4b of the lower footstep 4 are superposed to pass there. Thus, the escalator apparatus can be reduced in thickness.
