PURPOSE: To prevent destruction of nature, by providing an escalator with pallets on the inclined surface of a hill or a mountain, on each of which pallets a vehicle is placed and is horizontally kept while being raised or lowered on the inclined surface.
CONSTITUTION: On the flat part at the foot of a mountain, a driver places a vehicle 3 on a pallet 4 in the condition that the driver gets on the vehicle 3. The pallet 4, on which the vehicle 3 is placed, is moved by a belt conveyor 5 for an introduction part, moving at a fixed speed. After that, the pallet 4 is shifted to a belt conveyor 7 for climbing provided on an inclined surface 2 of the mountain and is carried, following which the pallet 4 is shifted on a belt conveyor 12 for carring-out provided at the top of the mountain. After that, the driver gets the vehicle 3 on the ground from on the pallet 4.
