PURPOSE: To achieve higher sheltering safety at emergency by mounting one end of an escape rope at a wall opening part upstairs using a specified mounting part zigzagging it vertically to enable the removing of the escape rope easily and quickly by manual traction at emergency.

CONSTITUTION: In an escape apparatus 1, one end of an escape rope 3 is mounted at the periphery of a wall opening part 2 upstairs using a mounting part 4 zigzagging it vertically. The mounting part 4 is made up of a curtain hanger 15 to be retained on a curtain rail 11 of the wall opening part 2 free to slide, a retaining device 16 comprising an S-shape piano wire to be retained at a circular arc part at the bottom thereof and a fine string 17 to hang thereon. On the other hand, the one end of the escape rope 3 is mounted on a post 20 by catching a circular part 3B of a cylindrical cover 13 on a metal fastener 14. At emergency, a grip part 5A arranged at the other end of the escape rope 3 is pulled to cut the fine string 17 while the one end of the escape rope 3 is hung down outdoors after being fastened with the metal fastener 14 firmly.
