Abstract:

To obtain an escape means which is easy-to-use for anyone without expertise, and capable of protecting the head and the neck of an escaping person from heat and smoke at the time of fire, and securing breathing and oral communication, and which also allows the escaping person to freely use both hands.

A face is formed in double masks, wherein a space therebetween is used as an air tank for storing compressed air. A heat shielding fabric is hung down from the head to shoulders for securing breathing, and achieving heat shielding and smokeproof characteristics, and also securing a field of vision. A heat-resistant transparent plate is provided on eye parts of the double mask. An opening is provided on a mouth part, on which a heat insulating plate is arranged for opening/shutting the opening for achieving oral communication by opening it.
