Abstract:
PURPOSE: To make an output transistor(TR) turn on completely while electrostatic discharge is caused by providing a means which turns on the output TR while electrostatic discharge is caused and a means which raises the voltage on a tab. CONSTITUTION: The p type drain of a plate driver TR 201 forms a lower m type tab area wherein a drain is formed, and a diode 212. A TR 208 is connected between a bonding pad 200 and an m-tab 213. The m-tab 213 is connected to a VDD conductor not directly, but through a resistance 209. This TR limits conduction to the VDD conductor through the diode 212. Therefore, the voltage on the gate of the output TR 202 can be raised to a higher level while ESD is caused.
