Abstract:
To provide a means which, when used to form hydrogen by reforming ethanol, can permit the reforming to progress at a low temperature, while the formation of methane and carbon monoxide as by-products are efficiently suppressed.
The means comprises dehydrating ethanol with an ethanol dehydration catalyst to form ethylene and reforming the ethylene with an ethylene reforming catalyst to form hydrogen.
