USE: The compound has sympathetic β-blocking, sympathetic β-stimulating, blood platelet coagulation inhibiting, calcium antagonistic, vasodilating, and antispasmodic activities.
PROCESS: The compound of formula VI can be prepared, e.g. by reacting the thiazolidine compound of formula V derived from o-aminothiophenol and the corresponding aldehyde, with a reactive derivative of formula R1OH, and reacting the product with epichlorohydrin.
