Title:
ETHYLBENZENE DEHYDROGENATION CATALYST
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH04277030
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE: To enhance the capacity of an iron oxide potassium oxide catalyst used in the dehydrogenation reaction of ethylbenzene in the presence of steam.
CONSTITUTION: In preparing an iron oxide potassium oxide catalyst used in the dehydrogenation reaction of ethylbenzene in the presence of steam, titanium oxide is contained by kneading addition or the precedent addition to iron oxide in addition to a known cocatalyst component. By adding titanium oxide to the iron oxide/potassium oxide catalyst, catalytic activity can markedly be enhanced in ethylbenzene dehydrogenation reaction and its selectivity in the same conversion rate can be also improved.
