Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an evacuation tool capable of allowing an evacuee to safely and quickly evacuate to the outside when evacuating in emergency from a construction in the case of outbreak of fire.SOLUTION: An evacuation tool 1 is used for descending while utilizing a wire rope 9 suspended on the outside of a construction such as a building. The evacuation tool 1 includes: pulleys 11-17 arranged in a zigzag manner and provided engageably to the wire rope 9; a rod body 2 equipped with the pulleys in a rotatable manner; a joint fitting 23 that joins pulley support members 21, 22 which constitute the body 2 in an openable/closable manner; a safety fitting 24 for maintaining the pulley support members 21, 22 in a closed-leg state; a projecting anti-slipping part 25 provided so as to prevent hands that grip the body 2 from slipping down therefrom; and a brake member 27 for decelerating a rotation speed of the pulley 17. When an evacuee descends while gripping the evacuation tool 1, the evacuee is prevented from freely falling, and the descending speed is decelerated to a safe descending speed by rotational friction of the pulleys and the principle of pulleys.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10
