To provide an evaluation system of a visual inspection apparatus for evaluating the work of a wide range of negative instances without acquiring any actual work of positive and negative instances.
A negative instance image compositing section 24 sticks a two-dimensional faulty section image generated by a two-dimensional faulty section image generation section 23 to a pseudo three-dimensional image of work generated artificially by a three-dimensional image generation section 22 for compositing a three-dimensional negative instance image. An inspection apparatus 13 evaluates the visual inspection apparatus by a pseudo two-dimensional image obtained by artificially photographing the composited three-dimensional negative instance image. By accumulating a number of faulty sections such as scratches and discoloration, as a two-dimensional faulty section image, a two-dimensional faulty section image is simply stuck to a pseudo three-dimensional image of artificial work, and thereby a three-dimensional negative instance image corresponding to the work of the negative instance is created easily. By utilizing the three-dimensional negative instance image, the visual inspection apparatus is evaluated for the work of a wide range of the negative instances.
