Title:
EVAPORATED-FUEL TREATING APPARATUS IN GANGED CARBURETOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS614851
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve the restarting of an engine at high temperature and the starting at low temperature by installing two temperature sensing valves which operate at different temperature between the float chambers of two carburetors which are maintained at different temperature during engine operation and an evaporated-fuel adsorbing apparatus.

CONSTITUTION: The float chambers 6 of the first and the second carburetors B and C are connected to an evaporated-fuel adsorbing apparatus 24 through evaporated-fuel conduits 21 and 22 and a solenoid valve 23. When an ignition switch 25 is turned-OFF and an engine stops operation, the solenoid valve 23 is opened, and if the environmental temperature is high at this time, the temperature sensing valves 29 and 31 installed in the conduits 21 and 22 are opened. Therefore, the evaporated fuel in the float chamber 6 is adsorbed onto the charcoal 33 of the apparatus 24, and the flow-out of the vaporated fuel into a suction passage 2 is suppressed, and the restarting performance of the engine can be improved. When the environmental temperature lowers, the temperature sensing valve 31 is closed during the time when the low boiling-point component exists in the float chamber 6, and the starting performance of the engine at low temperature can be secured.
