Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an evaporation type getter device with a shortened activation time.
SOLUTION: In this device, a mixture including the powder of BaAl4 compound, the powder of nickel, and the powder of the third component selected from a group which consists of aluminum, iron, titanium, and their alloys is formed, and a metal container housing a mixture in which the third component exists in the amount of the scope about 0.3 to 5% of the total weight of the mixture is provided. A recess in the radial direction to suppress the dispersion of the heat in the peripheral direction is formed at the upper side of the powder fillers, and by adding a discontinuous metal element which is plain practically in the powder fillers, a getter device having a shortened activation time, and capable of frit sealing, can be obtained.
