Title:
EVAPOTRANSPIRATION FUNCTION-ADDED EXTERNAL WALL AND ECOSYSTEM MAINTAINING EXTERNAL WALL SYSTEM USING THE SAME EXTERNAL WALL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH06272327
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To ensure biological diversity in the vicinity of a zone of life by lowering the surface temperature of a building by the evapotranspiration of rater held on an external wall and growing a plant while reducing the heat loss of the building and fixing CO2 in atmospheric air by shielding direct solar radiation by the leaves of the plant.

CONSTITUTION: An evapotranspiration function-added external wall 1 is composed of a structural bearing section 3 loading structural bearing force, an evapotranspiration section 7 consisting of a material, by which plant roots can be grown, water storage sections 11 buried into the evapotranspiration section 7, evaporated water wicks 17 introducing water in the water storage sections 11 to the evapotranspiration section 7 by a capillary phenomenon, and water conveyance pipes 13 guiding precipitation to the water storage sections 11. A make-up water supply system is connected to the evapotranspiration function-added external wall 1, thus constituting an ecosystem maintaining external wall system.
