Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an event-processing system which receives and processes event information about events occurring in a system being monitored.
SOLUTION: Different types of event-processing nodes are prepared which process arriving events corresponding to arrival patterns of arriving basic events, and one network wherein these nodes communicate with each other is constructed. Each event-processing node receives event data items from one or more input streams and processes these event data items to output event data items as an output stream. Each event data item relates either to an arriving basic event or to a combination of a plurality of basic information and includes event data that is indicative of the nature and time of occurrence of basic information. Event-processing nodes are roughly divided into a type of nodes which perform processing per input data item and a type of nodes which performs processing on the basis of a predetermined relationship between events.
